All supporting documents must be submitted by the close date to be considered.The AFRL Integrated Technologies Directorate seeks to hire a motivated Portfolio Lead to oversee the Contested Logistics Research Portfolio in the Transformational Capabilities Office (TCO). This interdisciplinary opportunity will be open only be open to current AFRL employees eligible for a lateral DR-04 (GS-15 equivalent) level assignment and is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the portfolio lead and subject-matter expert supporting the strategic planning and development of transformational concepts to enable contested logistics operations that empower the force to disperse, defend, and move to survive and sustain combat power generation.
- Collaborates across the AFRL Enterprise (RS Directorate, relevant Mission Area Leads, Technical Directorate colleagues), DOD partners and industry to assess emerging threats, demand signals, operational needs/gaps, disruptive technologies, investment opportunities and identify transformational technologies to champion topics through the WARTECH process.
- Mentors portfolio personnel in close coordination with process leads in the formulation and design of challenge problems, objectives, investment strategies, concept identification/shaping, technical team building and proposal development for TCO 6.2 and 6.3 efforts to include coordination of partnerships and identification of transition options.
- Communicates with stakeholders to include DAF Leadership, operational/acquisition customers, agency partners, industry (IRADS, Vendor Days, etc.) to scope programs and ensure continued operational alignment.
- Responsible for regular interface with TCO leadership and staff to establish strategies and plans and achieving objectives set forth in TCO strategy.

- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with DOD acquisition and contracting processes
- Position is eligible for telework, but the employee must live within the commuting area of Wright-Patterson AFB
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience related to the position duties at the DR-04 (GS-15 equivalent) for consideration
- Must file OGE 450 Financial Statement
- PCS may or may not be paid
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical Certification in Engineering and Technical Management. Minimum experience requirement for APDP is 4 years, and the selectee will have 60 months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained. Applicants must list all completed APDP certifications on their resume.
