Position Details:Title: Transformer TechnicianLocation: Massillon, OHShift: M-F, 7a-4p schedule, but must be flexible to work off-shifts (including weekends) to meet customer needsCompensation: $22-$30/hr depending on qualifications and experience! + Sign-on Bonus!Benefits: Health and dental coverage, 401K, paid holidays, generous PTO, and more!Travel: Some travel to customer sites may be required. All travel is paid by the company – company vehicle, tools, company card, etc.Position Description:As a Transformer Technician, you will be responsible for providing service, repair, and testing of transformers in workshops and at customer sites. This would also include project supervision, installation, start-up, service, testing, and customer satisfaction. These activities require the timely completion at/or under budgeted cost to the complete satisfaction of the customers.• Perform field and in-house transformer activities on oil-filled and/or dry-type transformers.• Ensure tasks are completed utilizing all necessary safety procedures and equipment.• Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer needs and/or company objectives.• Converse with personnel to analyze the scope of work requirements, and current operational procedures, identify problems, and continuous improvements.• Provide technical support to customers and shop/field personnel, as necessary.• Capable of performing our standard electrical testing. (Doble, Winding Resistance, TTR, and Insulation Resistance)• Experienced and capable in one or more of the following areas: Untanking/Tanking of core and coils, re-gasketing, core iron unstacking/stacking, removal/installation of coils, lead assembly and/or tap changers with limited guidance.• Capable of performing oil processing/handling with limited guidance.• Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, employees, outside vendors, and/or service providers, etc.• Advocates and abides by all quality, safety, and environmental procedures and reports any non-compliance.• Provide support for any special projects as assigned by Management. The special projects may or may not become part of your primary responsibilities.Requirements:This is a great position for skilled candidates with experience in transformer repair and service.
