Translator - SpanishNeighborhood Health Association - Assist in providing bilingual English-Spanish translation services to our patients in a busy outpatient healthcare clinic setting.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensures integrity, meaning and context are maintained throughout translation.
  • Answer verbal or telephone requests; translates phone calls and messages.
  • Oversees/maintains that appropriate forms are available.
  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction and understanding.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
  • Ability to provide Spanish/English translation.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work independently, take initiative and think creatively to address social disparities of health and refer to appropriate resources to meet patient needs.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to provide excellent customer service to patients, demonstrating caring and empathy.
  • Must be sensitive to cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and composure when challenged, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
