This top-tier company is at a pivotal stage of growth, with significant projects launching in 2025 in collaboration with two major Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs). The Transmission Line Engineer role is integral to driving the success of these high-impact projects.
Position Summary:
The Transmission Line Engineer will focus on the design, analysis, and construction support of high-voltage transmission line systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze high-voltage transmission line systems (69kV to 500kV) to ensure reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Perform line routing, structure design, and foundation analysis, utilizing PLS-CADD and other relevant software.
- Support the preparation of detailed engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits to provide technical support during construction and resolve design-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices, including NESC and IEEE guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering, including design and analysis.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of NESC standards, utility practices, and permitting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- EIT or PE license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure.
