Transportation and Aviation Paralegal New York, New York
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Transportation and Space Paralegal to work in a firm that has a background in transportation and aviation. The ideal Candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have experience in this practice matter. The candidate will be responsible for heavy record review, conducting legal research, e-filing in state and federal courts, UCC filings, EDGAR filings, drafting legal documents, drafting routine correspondence, managing case files, and Court calendars.
Responsibilities
- Review voluminous legal documents, draft pleadings, routine legal documents (discovery documents and motions), e-filing in Courts and conduct legal research
- Create and maintain case files and attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed
- Maintain case files and maintain valued relationships
- Coordinate workflow and assignments within the practice
- Mentor and guide new legal assistants/paralegals
- Conduct research, maintain working group lists, and organize due diligence documents
- Draft form documents, correspondence, and letters to clients/counsel
- Assist with UCC filings, lien searches, and compliance with Article 9 regulations
- Prepare formation documents, assist with deal closings, and review legal documents
- Organize closing sets and assist with EDGAR filing process
- Notarize documents and assist with document authentication
Qualifications
- Four college degree required Bachelors degree
- At least 5 years of aviation-related experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be Notary Public or willing to become one within the first 6 months of employment
- Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator
