Transportation and Aviation Paralegal New York, New York

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Transportation and Space Paralegal to work in a firm that has a background in transportation and aviation. The ideal Candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have experience in this practice matter. The candidate will be responsible for heavy record review, conducting legal research, e-filing in state and federal courts, UCC filings, EDGAR filings, drafting legal documents, drafting routine correspondence, managing case files, and Court calendars.

Responsibilities

  • Review voluminous legal documents, draft pleadings, routine legal documents (discovery documents and motions), e-filing in Courts and conduct legal research
  • Create and maintain case files and attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed
  • Maintain case files and maintain valued relationships
  • Coordinate workflow and assignments within the practice
  • Mentor and guide new legal assistants/paralegals
  • Conduct research, maintain working group lists, and organize due diligence documents
  • Draft form documents, correspondence, and letters to clients/counsel
  • Assist with UCC filings, lien searches, and compliance with Article 9 regulations
  • Prepare formation documents, assist with deal closings, and review legal documents
  • Organize closing sets and assist with EDGAR filing process
  • Notarize documents and assist with document authentication

Qualifications

  • Four college degree required Bachelors degree
  • At least 5 years of aviation-related experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Must be Notary Public or willing to become one within the first 6 months of employment
  • Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator

Benefits

Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $80,000 to $120,000.00 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
