THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS), you would supervise a construction inspection team within Engineering District 5-0. You will have the opportunity to perform a variety of technical duties associated with the inspection of transportation construction or bridge projects, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with approved construction codes, plans, standards and specifications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment.

* Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ADHOC. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown.

* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or

* Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or

* An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:

* This position will require possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
