This team member Interfaces directly with fleet teams and transportation partners to provide a timely flow of merchandise into our DC's while working to maintain the lowest possible transportation costs.
What your day will look like:
Tender and track loads to ensure efficiency and low cost utilization.
Seeks out opportunities to fill empty miles with back haul opportunities.
Tracks and reports on all aspects of carrier and store delivery including external load tracking.
Process and file paperwork as needed to ensure fleet teams have all documentation needed for back haul program.
Oversee weekly carrier invoicing to ensure loads are closed and billed timely.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Transportation and Logistics or equivalent experience (new grads welcome)
2+ years transportation experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong accounting skills (accounts payable and receivable).
Strong organization skills.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
Strong communication skills.
