Position Type: Food ServicesDate Posted: 12/11/2024Location: Jenison Senior High SchoolDate Available: 01/06/2025Closing Date: until filledTRANSPORTATION/DELIVERY DRIVER - FOOD SERVICE Jenison Public Schools HOURS ARE MONDAY - FRIDAY following the Jenison Public Schools calendar 25 hours/week (5 hours/day from 7:45am - 12:45pm daily) (THIS SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON THE SCHOOL CALENDAR.) This position is required to work up to one week after school ends and return to work two weeks before school starts each school year. Starting pay: $17.50/hour RESPONSIBILITIES 1. TRANSPORTING ALL FOOD AND PAPER PRODUCTS TO EACH SCHOOL ON THE ROUTE. 2. WORKING WITH THE KITCHEN MANAGER TO ENSURE THE ACCURACY OF OUT GOING PRODUCTS. 3. MAINTAINING THE VEHICLE THAT IS USED ON THE ROUTE. CHECKING OIL, TIRES AND REPORTING PROBLEMS RIGHT AWAY. 4. COLLECTING AND LOADING ALL NECESSARY PRODUCTS. 5. OTHER PROJECTS AS NEEDED BY THE KITCHEN MANAGER.SKILLS NEEDED 1. COMFORTABLE DRIVING A LARGE TRUCK IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER OR WILLINGNESS TO LEARN. 2. ABLE TO WORK IN A TEAM SITUATION. 3. ABILITY TO FORESEE AND HANDLE PROBLEM SITUATIONS. 4. ABLE TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT. 5. ABLE TO MEET STRICT DEADLINES. 6. ABLE TO HANDLE MORE THAN ONE TASK AT A TIME. 7. COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH NUMBERS AND BASIC MATH FORMULAS. 8. FLEXIBLE IN MANY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. 9. ENJOY WORKING WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND BEING A PART OF A TEAM. 10. ABILITY TO LIFT UP TO 50 LBS.
