Report to the District 6 Office at an agreed upon frequency that meets business needs. Supports District 5 with some travel required to District 5 office.As a Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) Engineer, you will be in a Transportation Engineer Senior level position and your duties will include, but are not limited to:* Administering, overseeing, and coordinating the TSMO activities for the Iowa Department of Transportation District 6, which includes 12 counties, 100+ cities, and the major metro areas of Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities, Dubuque, and Iowa City. In addition, providing support for similar responsibilities for District 5, which includes 20 counties.* Functioning as the District's lead in traffic engineering and operations for all phases of projects and operations - planning, concepting, design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
