At Catapult, we are assisting our client, Stewart Engineering in their search for a Transportation Engineering Project Manager. Candidates must have a Civil Engineering degree and be a licensed Professional Engineer with NCDOT experience. Transportation Engineering Project ManagerHybrid Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday required in office. Stewart also offers a 4/9 schedule with ½ days on Friday. Our transportation engineering services include NEPA/SEPA planning, public involvement, roadway design, structure design, traffic management, pavement marking plans, signing plans, utility construction design, and utility coordination. We have a diverse portfolio of projects that include interchange reconfigurations, new location roadways, multi-lane widening, reduced conflict intersection design, intersection improvements, pedestrian bridge design, highway bridge, and culvert design. Our strength is our collaborative approach to innovation in our planning, design, and delivery methods used to serve our clients. Our diverse experience allows us to deliver projects from inception to completion with a focus on quality and efficiency. Position Highlights: Our Transportation Engineering team is growing and seeking a talented Project Manager of Transportation to join our Transportation group. In this exciting role, you will lead the design effort and manage the delivery of complex projects, including roadway plans, traffic management plans, pavement marking plans, and signing plans. Utilizing MicroStation, your projects will range from bridge replacements to multi-lane widening projects to interchange designs. Put your creativity and innovation skills to the test as you lead the discussion on intersection improvement, roundabouts, and superstreet design. Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), required.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience supporting or working in the Transportation Engineering industry.
  • Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, and Corridor Modelling, required.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, required.
  • Valid driver's license, required.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD), preferred.
  • Experience working with NCDOT, preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands: You are willing and able to work in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to lots of light, both natural and artificial. Workstations are in an open space layout with frequent collaboration and interactions from co-workers throughout the day. Within the office you are willing and able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Additional requirements include providing on-site technical assistance by accessing client or construction sites with varying terrain.
