Provide transportation for students, faculty, and staff as determined by the UM Public Safety Department.Essential Job Duties1. Issue parking citations to violators of UM campus parking regulations.2. Provide transportation for students and staff for medical reasons as needed.3. Assist faculty and staff with entry to offices as needed and open locked doors.4. Assist and cover UMPD Dispatch shifts as needed. Will require occasional night shifts.5. Open and operate storm shelter on campus as needed.Additional DutiesProvide transportation for staff and students on campus as needed.Transport the general public for special on-campus events (i.e. campus graduation).Assist officers in opening and/or securing campus buildings.There will be other duties as assigned. The individual holding this position will serve as a representative of the University and, as such, shall promote a positive impression by demonstrating a collegial and professional customer-service approach at all times.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge in operating hand held data entry equipment for recording and generating parking citations;Good computer skills in Word, Excel, and BossCars ticketing software;Knowledge in safe operations of campus vehicles (minivan and golf carts) for transportation needs;Knowledge of college operations, schedules, and campus rules and regulations for parking:Education and ExperienceThe educational requirement for this position is: High School diploma/GEDEducation substituted for experience?
