Specific experience in providing program/project controls services in the transportation market sectors of aviation, rail, heavy civil, roads, and bridges. Experienced in strategic planning and implementation, with a solid track record of creating long-term value for organizations.ResponsibilitiesMAIN DUTIES:Primary duty is business development, encompassing development of transportation and infrastructure clients and opportunities throughout the firm and for all services.Aligns business development activities with MBP's business plan. Identifies potential clients, builds relationships, identifies specific opportunities.Represents firm before key target client audiences, networking events, etc.Leads efforts in formulating strategies, assembling teams, developing proposals.Transitions business development responsibilities to Client Solution Leaders upon award of contracts.Applies best-practice business development processes.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Participate in professional association organizations and activities. Regular regional travel and occasional travel across the United States.QualificationsEDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, and other relevant fields of study. Significant work-related experience performing similar duties to those outlined below. Extensive experience in areas such as developing capture strategies for upcoming project opportunities. Possess a thorough knowledge of the transportation market including technical services and client procurement methods.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to develop strong relationships with current and potential clients. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong writing and presentation skills.GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:Ability to work independently.
