Job Summary
To effectively handle the daily transportation related activities needed for the assigned plant to expedite inbound and outbound shipments, timely and economically.
Core Accountabilities
- Tender inbound and outbound loads to multiple carriers using the “EverZinc's carriers list” to secure the lowest freight cost possible while maintaining the highest quality service needed to pick up and deliver shipments within the customers/ suppliers' requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate with sales, purchasing and production departments to guarantee accurate and timely shipping of all orders.
- Maintain updated records of all inbound and outbound loads.
- Responds to customer and supplier inquiries pertaining to their shipments.
- Scheduling all inbound and outbound loads, weighing all trucks to verify and document accurate weights, issuing and signing truck B/L for all outgoing shipments.
- Inspecting customer orders prior to shipping and reviewing shipping documents of all inbound loads to make sure products are delivered per expectations.
- Review, validate and code the freight bills received against inbound and outbound shipments.
- Responsible for coordinating all export containers with the ocean carriers and trucking companies, as needed.
- Coordinate the delivery of incoming rail cars and release of empties as soon as discharge is completed.
- Track the progress of urgent shipments to ensure timely delivery. Inform CAS about the estimated delivery date/ time of all outbound loads.
- Notify all suppliers about the intended pick up dates from their locations and the name of the trucking company contracted to handle the move.
- Offer support to other company locations or departments such as booking their inbound or outbound loads, assisting their logistics personnel in resolving problems, etc.
- Recognize, understand and participate in the company's quality and safety initiatives. This includes the knowledge and adherence to policies, objectives and work related instructions.

Qualifications and Skills
- Four (4) or more years of supply chain/ logistics
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and MS Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends.
