Our client is most interested in motivated individuals that are in pursuit of professional fulfillment with a passion for client satisfaction and an investment in the sustainability of our communities.Our client is currently seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer to work in their Charleston, WV office.As an experienced Engineer, you will become a leader with the opportunity to grow and mentor a high-performing team of talented and skilled engineering professionals. You will use your management skills to plan and organize the team's efforts and take responsibility for cost control, staffing, and quality. Your demonstrated professionalism will come into play as you cultivate and nurture client relationships and build the firms North America brand by participating in state and regional associations. Use your strength as a communicator to assist with proposals and direct marketing efforts.Responsibilities:Design and plan in accordance with applicable design specifications. Projects may include various bridge types such as steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder and reinforced concrete slab structures.Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structuresPrepare structural designs and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimatesParticipate in preparing project budgets and schedulesPerform calculations for designing bridges and transportation structures using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design softwareEssential Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major or emphasis(4) four + years of experience - need to have job stabilityKnowledge of AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design softwareAbility to communicate efficiently and effectively with co-workers and clients, both in verbal and written formKnowledge of Prestressed Concrete is preferredExpertise for layout and design of bridges and highway structures is preferredBenefits:Opportunity to participate in a full range of employee benefits including, health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance beginning the first day of the month following the first 30 days of continuous employment.401(k) plan beginning the first day of the month following 90 days of continuous employment with 4% company match.Gracious Paid Time Off (PTO) package with increased accrual rates with tenure, along with 9 paid holidays.Competitive wage and potential bonus opportunities offered.Flexible schedules and potential hybrid schedules offered.Paid parental leave offered beginning the first day of the month following the first 30 days of continuous employment.Educational assistance / Tuition Reimbursement.It's been years since outstanding career opportunities like this have been available but, now, the “Good Times” that were predicted to rebound have begun.
