JOB TITLE: TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION
STATUS: FULL-TIME, BENEFITED POSITION $24.00 Per Hour
SAN FRANCISCO WAREHOUSE AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER - EXPERIENCED TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR OPENING
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass TSA driver and safety training series.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- An understanding of Safety Rules for Dock and Transportation.
- Minimum of five years of light industrial, transportation, or operations' experience.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a positive and productive manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, and carts.
- Ability to operate a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Direct training and supervision of Drivers/Material Handler and beneficiaries assigned to the transportation department. Responsible for training and supervision of beneficiaries who are assigned as truck's helpers.Dispatch trucks daily ensuring on-time delivery of store product and neat and orderly donation sites.Ensure each truck, tractor, and trailer meets TSA standards and supports production and retail operations.Supervise the donation operations to include donation attendant training, CCC locations, donation bin placement, and donor relations. Ensures a quality donation experience for donors.View Smartdrive reports each morning, giving proper coaching/disciplinary action as necessary.Plan and conduct weekly Transportation Team meetings per ARC Policies.Review and approve all direct report timecards using UKG, assure compliance with Wage and Hours requirements.Ensure loading and unloading equipment is safe and operable to include carts, dollies, load binders, flat carts, etc.Assure safety measures established and maintained by ARC policy and government regulations.Plays critical role in driving company culture, change efforts, and change management processes.Must always be prepared for a Center Review and maintain review standards.Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Operations Manager.QualificationsSkillsBehaviorsMotivationsEducationExperienceRequired5 years:
