Transporter - Central Transport Team - Days Location: Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg, PA Schedule: PRN/Per DiemFull-time: Days (36hrs/week)Primary hours: Monday - Friday between 1:30a-9:00p, Saturday - Sunday between 8:30am-6:00pm - every 3rd weekendGeneral SummaryPerforms activities related to transportation of patients. Follows established safety guidelines and uses appropriate devices when transporting patients. Provides messenger services on requestDuties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:+ Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed.+ Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers using appropriate body mechanics to perform patient lifts.+ Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.Common Expectations:+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.+ Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.+ Performs dispatching duties such as receiving transport requests, dispatching available transporters based on established priorities, coordinating transports to minimize delays and maintaining appropriate documentation.Required for All Jobs:+ Performs other related duties as identified.+ WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
