Accredited Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) community educator for parents and caregivers and (2) Trauma Informed care program educator providing training to employees at Children's Wisconsin (CW). As part of the Trauma Informed Care and Triple P programs, this position will plan, schedule and facilitate internal and external training for parents and professionals. Leads and supports best practice principles in education and service delivery for the workforce of CW, and caregivers with children 0-12 years old and teens. Provides education within various community locations, CW workspaces, and virtually.This is a primarily remote position with some in person meetings and training required.
Licensure, Registration and/or CertificationTriple P training and accreditation within 3 months of hire.Requires a valid Wisconsin driver's license, acceptable driving record, minimum liability insurance coverage and ability to be insured by the CHHS auto insurance carrier
Major Responsibilities - Supports, educates and trains Children's Wisconsin staff and program areas in trauma informed care. Supports Children's staff as champions and core team members. Assists with developing new trainers throughout the system by providing technical assistance and co-training. Develops reports as required for program evaluation, training registration and attendance. Contributes to the development of training curriculum and updates as needed.
- Provides Triple P programing, levels 2, 3 and 4. Establishes rapport and supportive relationships with caregivers and provides service in a manner that demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to the client's cultural values and beliefs. Facilitates educational workshops, seminars and groups and meets with caregivers on a one-to-one basis. Processes participant intake and maintains records of activities, attendance, progress notes and services provided as directed by program and agency standards for Triple P. Responsible for the collection of data, data entry and reports.
- Maintains fidelity to the Triple P program model. Seeks out innovative and promising practices to support program outcomes and quality improvement. Leads and participates in monthly community Peer-Assisted Supervision and Support (PASS) meetings to continue to support program model fidelity. Provides mentoring to support other accredited Triple P providers across the Children's Wisconsin system. Assesses program participants' needs and provides educational and supportive activities to adult caregiver(s) to address family needs and concerns identified according to the Triple P program model. Refers families to services in the community to address needs that are outside of Triple P.
- Answers training inquiries from interested areas. Collects information, maintains accurate records of activities and completes necessary paperwork. Encourages and supports program participation by informing Children's workforce of educational activities.
- In collaboration with the Program Coordinator and Manager, supports coordination of internal and external activities related to programming, development, implementation, partnerships and logistics.
- Schedules and coordinates training plans in conjunction with teams, community organizations and implementation locations. Coordinates with the program manager to ensure training and technical assistance needs of program participants are met.
- Participates and coordinates internal and external meetings as requested to include exploring opportunities for program expansion which may include presentations and training for internal and external stakeholders. Builds internal and external partnerships and seeks opportunities for program expansion.
- May assist with grant writing and program development activities.
