Bay State will provide on-line TF-CBT training to incoming clinicians or other EBT training to add to our growing team. TF-CBT is an innovative, evidence-based cognitive behavioral treatment program. Research demonstrates that it is a gold standard of psychological treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other related conditions.The Trauma Specialist Clinician Primary Job Responsibilities Are
- Complete thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, family sessions.
- Provide individual therapy and family therapy using the TF-CBT model or another EBT.
- Collaborate with the clients' foster parents/biological parents, teachers, doctors, etc. to maintain an interdisciplinary team approach to care.
- Initiate, build, and maintain relationships based on trust and respect.
- Perform case management duties including treatment plan monitoring, advocacy, referral and linkage to other needed services and crisis interventions.
- Direct, coordinate, and participate in the development of client goals and participate in the writing of program-specific progress notes, treatment plans and client/family plans.
- Must be able to work as a member of a team and to function independently.
- Moderate to advanced computer fluency, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience providing services using video-conferencing platforms preferred.
- Advocate for clients in areas of health, education, vocation, legal and family interactions
- Provide case management services/collaboration with child serving systems

Extensive Training ProgramBSCS believes in investing in our staff and offers a comprehensive weekly Professional Development and Growth Seminar with your colleagues. These seminars are designed to assist with competencies needed for your license. Topics include Diagnosing, Ethics and Boundaries, Clinical Considerations, Substance Use Disorder Treatment to name a few. These seminars are facilitated by seasoned clinicians. In addition, BSCS offers extensive training in Evidence Based Practice including Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Services, and Substance Use Disorder Treatments.At BSCS we are committed to developing you in becoming a well-trained and skilled clinician. As part of this position, you have access to the weekly Professional Development Seminars facilitated by seasoned clinicians in small cohort groups that offer intensive training on diagnostic criteria, evidence-based practices, trauma and much more. This training series is designed to prepare you for the LMHC and LICSW licensing test.Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling required.
- Must be liccense eligible in professional discipline (i.e. LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) meet all requirements leading to an active professional license in the individual's professional discipline.
- Certification and/or previous training in evidence-based practices for the treatment of trauma preferred
- Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
