The Travel Agent will arrange travel services for organization staff by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives and prioritizes travel requests. Confers with travelers to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, necessary accommodations, and budget required for domestic and international business travel.
- Helps set and makes sure staff adheres to organization's travel policy guidelines.
- Consults published and computer sources to analyze and evaluate commercial rates, lowest logical airfares, times, and appropriate car rentals. Computes costs of travel, accommodations and local transportation.
- Prepares tentative plans and suitable alternatives for approval by traveler and management. Uses computerized reservations and ticketing systems to book transportation and hotel reservations, and issue itineraries.
- Prints and requests transportation carrier tickets or ticketless itineraries using computer system or system link to travel carries. Ensures all reservations are confirmed prior to travel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Sabre Certified
- 5+ years experience working with Sabre
- Comprehensive knowledge of ticketing, exchange, refunds, etc working on a Sabre platform
EDUCATION: High School
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years

Salary Minimum: $25
Salary Maximum: $28
