The Travel Services team is dedicated to customer service and hospitality by providing all employees and clients with an exceptional overall experience while they are traveling on business. The Travel Category Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the travel program, from a supplier and traveler standpoint. The position works closely with travel agency partners and suppliers (including hotels, airlines and car rental agencies) to ensure an exemplary traveler experience. This role develops and maintains strong relationships with business partners at all levels, acting as a resource to help travelers navigate the travel policy and their travel options. The role is tasked with constantly looking to seek and identify opportunities to change and improve processes and policies to meet evolving needs of the business. In addition to customer focus, this role will lead the category strategy development and end to end contracting services across the enterprise travel program, including aviation services. Where is the work: Hybrid out of Davidson NC: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. What you will do:
- Develop and manage the overall US / Global Corporate travel program, developing relationships with key suppliers.
- Responsible for end-to-end contract negotiations with 3rd party travel suppliers and corporate aviation services. This includes RFX, MSA, SOW execution across the travel program supplier base.
- Development of category strategies that strive to optimize spend, mitigate risk, while aligning to travel program goals.
- Establish a strong rapport with employees and suppliers, resulting in solid, trusting relationships; manage and resolve customer service related issues (agency or online bookings, hotel/air/car suppliers, etc.) with all levels of employee within the company.
- Be the key-point of contact driving a seamless travel experience and providing excellent customer service to Trane Technologies' travelers, including the Executive Leadership team.
- Develop key partnerships with internal stakeholders including leaders in Finance, Business Services, Administration, Global Security and other key internal business partners.
- Build and manage key travel reports focusing on spend-management, compliance & safety.
- Be a key point of contact for our travel agency partners for escalations, process improvements and ad-hoc projects.
- Work closely with the global teams to ensure consistency in the travel experience, while considering the need for regional differences in processes, tools and business needs.
- Travel Policy management and operational integration leadership with travel agency providers and internal support teams.
- Partner with Meeting Services team to ensure alignment on respective strategies and support needed collaboration.
What you will bring:
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated experience leading contract negotiations, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
- Bachelors Degree - Business Administration, supply chain, finance or similar.
- Corporate Travel Program management experience preferred.
- Experience in developing and/or managing a corporate travel policy.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent projects and managing customer expectations.
- Strong leadership skills honoring a globally diverse team across time zones.
- Proven track record delivering excellent customer service and problem resolution.
- Strong Supply Chain Acumen with experience utilizing best in class industry tools and processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation: Base Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000 Total compensation will include an incentive. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
