Job Title: Travel Contract - CT TechNumber of openings: 1Shift: Night shifts -40 hours (weekends rotating)Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 04/29/2024Stipend: $1,169Hourly Pay: $66.67OT: 1.5Weekly pay: $2,500.13JOB DESCRIPTION Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2:30pm EST - 1am EST; holidays, on call and callback per unit needs
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
  • Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
  • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current CT Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
  • Active unencumbered New York CT Tech state license
  • One year of Epic experience
  • ARRT Certification
