Travel Contract - LPN - Emergency Room Observation Rochester, New York, United States - 14642Job Title: Travel Contract - LPN - Emergency Room Observation Number of openings: 5 Shift: Night shifts - 36 hours (weekends rotating) Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 07/24/2023 Stipend: $1,281 Hourly Pay: $35 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $1,265 JOB DESCRIPTION Schedule- D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs candidates DO NOT have a 30-mile radius requirement Job Duties: This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED), a state-of-the-art facility that manages more than 100,000 visits a year and is one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. It is the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. Responsible for treating a diverse patient population. Will assist with border patients.
- Checking patients' blood pressure, heartbeat and pulse regularly
- Providing compassionate care by listening to patients' concerns and guiding them by answering any questions or concerns
- Monitoring patients' conditions and providing updates to healthcare team
- Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats
- Helping patients use the bathroom and dress
- Monitoring patients' food and liquid intake
- Escort patients to get X-rays and other imaging tests
QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience
- Two years current RN Interventional Radiology experience
- Two years of telemetry experience required
License/Registration/Certification
- ACLS/BLS - American Heart Association
- Active unencumbered New York RN license
Education and Training
- Associate degree - fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
