Compensation : $32 - $32 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : JX220#######7 Start Date : 09/07/2023 End Date : 01/06/2024 The main function of a lab technologist is to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. A typical lab technologist usually reports to a biochemist or microbiologist.Job Responsibilities: Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results. May analyze samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction. Monitor clinical trials for research organizations or internal research. Cultivate, isolate, and assist in identifying microbial organisms, and perform various tests on these microorganisms. May conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals. Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage. Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers. Skills: - Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time. Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases. Basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human clinical trials) and local regulations. Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of 0-2 of current Medical Technologist experience. Graduate from a fully accredited Medical Technologist program Active unencumbered Medical Technologist Virginia state license One year of Epic experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
