**Job Title:** CT Technician**Job Specialty:** CT Technology**Job Duration:** 66 Weeks**Shift:** 3x12.0 Hours**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** 2+ years of previous experience as a CT Technician**License:** Current CT Certification **Certifications:** ARRT Certification, COVID vaccination (completed series with booster needed prior to starting)**Must-Have:** Current CT Certification, ARRT Certification, COVID Card**Job Description:**- Establish and maintain mechanical ventilatory support for critical newborn, pediatric, and adult patients using various pressure and volume ventilators.- Make ventilator adjustments based on diagnostic test results, observations, assessments, patient response, and ventilatory status.- Monitor patients for changes in cardio-pulmonary status.- Maintain a stable airway during resuscitation and mechanical ventilation; perform oral intubations, maintain stability of artificial airway, and appropriate cuff pressures.- Apply advanced ventilator techniques such as CPAP, PS, SIMV, and PEEP.- Establish ventilator weaning criteria specific to each patient and initiate weaning procedures.- Initiate and perform effective CPR.- Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, interpret results, and act accordingly.- Make recommendations to physicians regarding treatment based on blood gas results and clinical evaluations.- Continually assess the cardio-pulmonary status of patients using information from physical observations and diagnostic test results. - Perform hemodynamic monitoring and interpret Pulmonary Artery Pressures, Pulmonary Capillary Wedge Pressure, Cardiac Output, and Central Venous Pressure.- Assist physicians with special procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and surgical tracheotomy.- Perform Pulmonary Function studies.- Process contaminated equipment including cleaning, sterilization, assembly, function, and safety checks.- Document all treatments, findings, observations, and patient care progress in the appropriate medical record.
