Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: MSBI Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8A-5P Mon-Fri Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of CT tech experience required License: New York State License (L.R.T) Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and CT certification), BLS certification Must-Have: At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program Job Description: - Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. - Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study. - Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician's orders and prescribed protocols. - Adhere to department documentation policies by maintaining all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies. - Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principles. - Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. - Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. - Verify receipt and activity level of radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery according to policy and procedure. - Exercise appropriate judgment in assessing and responding to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department. - Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
