Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night - 5x7.5, 4 PM - 12 AM Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience License: New York State License (L.R.T) Certifications: - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT certification - BLS certification Must-Have: - Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program - Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write) Job Description: - Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. - Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper calibration and functionality before any patient study is conducted. - Administer radioactive material injections as per physician orders following the prescribed protocol. - Adhere to department documentation policies by completing all logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory requirements. - Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, adhering to radiation safety guidelines in line with the ALARA principle. - Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation. - Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. - Verify the receipt of radiopharmaceutical deliveries, ensuring correct activity levels before administration.
