**Job Title:** Echo Technician**Job Specialty:** Contract**Job Duration:** 9 months**Shift:** Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 pm**Guaranteed Hours:** 37.50 hours per week**Experience:** At least 2 years as an Echocardiographer preferred**License:** Current Registry status**Certifications:** None specified**Must-Have:** - Experience with cardiology ultrasound - Strong patient care and documentation skills - Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting patients - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills**Job Description:**- Acquire and interpret m-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler and color Doppler echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms- Complete echo worksheets and perform necessary calculations in a timely manner- Provide care for adult and geriatric patients- Maintain a high degree of professional ethics and conduct- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment- Perform diagnostic duties and patient care functions- Assess physiological and anatomical needs of adult and geriatric patients- Inform and explain procedures to patients- Assist cardiologists during procedures- Chart exams on patient medical records- Clean and maintain equipment and keep rooms well-stocked- Assist with on-the-job training for students and fellows- Participate in mandatory continuing education to enhance skills and growth
