Certification Details Specialty Certifications required for Adult echo: ARDMS, RCS, RDMS, RDCS Average of studies per day: Adult echo- 8 – 1 hour slots Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Adult echo – would only be doing adult echocardiograms Experience or 'Must have' skills: Adult echo- use of image enhancing agents, shunt (bubble) studies, STRAIN imaging, prepare preliminary report for MD Job Details Cardiovascular Echo Sonographer position available Contract length is 13 weeks Job Requirements Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Verification Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) Verification General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) Schedule Information Day shift either 5- 8 hour shifts 8-430 or 4-10 hour shifts 7-530 – depending on need of the lab. Occasional weekend coverage – can discuss Unit Specific Information Department has 12 total scanning rooms combined No float coverage required Will not have to start IV's but having IV skills is beneficial for adult echo sonographer – not a requirement Shift & Scheduling: Department specific orientation with clinical preceptor and lead sonographer will work with the traveler Additional Details Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening
