Job Description:
Certification Details- BLS, ACLS required for RNs
- BLS, state certification required for Techs
Job Details- GI/Endo Tech position in Burien, Washington
- 13 week contract
- Workload spread over 1 Admit RN, 1 Recovery RN, and 1 Procedure RN
- Admit patients for GI procedures, Phase II recovery from propofol sedation, Documenting RN/Assist with procedures
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor present on site
Job Requirements- BLS, ACLS, Current WA state license for RNs
- BLS, WA state CNA certification OR WA Surgical Tech license for Techs
- IV skills, Admit/Discharge
- Prior Epic experience
- Minimum 2 years Endo/GI lab experience
- Must be trained in scope reprocessing/high level disinfection
- General endo skills including Banding, EGD, ERCP, Dilations
Schedule Information- Shifts: 06-1630, 0630-1700, 07-1730, 10 hour shifts, staggered start times
- Limited call for weeknights
- Contract dependent weekend/call requirement
- Contract dependent holiday/call requirement
- Voluntary call without a mandatory call/standby requirement
- Call response time: 60 Minutes
Unit Specific Information- # suites: 2
- Ratios: 15-18 Patients per day
- Techs or nurse aids available in the department: Yes
- RT Equipment: None
Additional Details- Scrubs are provided
- Department specific orientation provided with length dependent on the traveler's comfort level
