A typical work schedule may look like: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Overtime Opportunities Reporting To: Crew Lead Location: East Syracuse, NY with Nationwide Travel Position Description: As a Hardwood Floor Installer, your primary duty will be the installation of hardwood flooring, ensuring it aligns with both manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to guarantee durability and aesthetic appeal. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing surfaces prior to installation, including the application of appropriate adhesives to secure the flooring. You will measure and tailor flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately, using both hand and power tools for precision. The role also involves polishing and buffing hardwood floors to a perfect finish, along with fitting necessary fixtures like baseboards, trim, and transitions to complete the installation. Post-installation clean-up is essential to leave the workspace tidy and presentable. This position requires travel to the job sites within and outside of the state of New York, travel pay and lodging are provided. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Job Responsibilities:
* Install hardwood flooring
* Prepare surfaces for installation of hardwood flooring; apply adhesive for flooring
* Install hardwood flooring according to manufacturer instructions and industry standards
* Polish / buff hardwood floors
* Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas using hand tools or power tools
* Install fixtures such as baseboards, trim, and transitions to complete the flooring installation if needed
* Post installation clean up
* Travel with the crew to various job sites, including interstate travel for commercial projects.
* Work in a group environment to successfully complete projects
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience with installing hardwood floor (Required)
* Drivers license (Required)
* Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in flooring installation
* Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
* Ability to troubleshoot issues during installation when needed
