Job Title: Interventional Radiology Rad Tech Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule Hours per Shift: 8.0 hours Experience: Two (2) years experience License: Technician License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: VIR Certification Preferred Description: Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning, consistently producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality. Works cooperatively with all department members to resolve problems expediently. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when interacting with customers. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity for patients' rights. Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operating all equipment and reports malfunctions to a manager or lead. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to assist others and aid in room turnover. Understands the role in maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only. Demonstrates competency in providing healthcare services across all age groups. Exhibits competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups. Displays competence in using Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted. Maintains confidentiality using personal passwords and all patient care modules. Answers technical phone inquiries from physicians or hospital personnel while maintaining good phone etiquette.
