**Job Title:** Interventional Radiology Rad Tech **Profession:** Radiologic Technologist **Specialty:** General Radiologic Technology **Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** D/E/N Rotating **Hours per Shift:** 8.0 **Experience:** 2 years **License:** NYS License or able to obtain prior to start **Certifications:** BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), VIR Certified preferred **Description:** - Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality. - Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently. - Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with customers. - Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient's rights in all interfaces with patients. - Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures. - Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and reports malfunctions to manager or lead. - Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantage-assisting others and assisting with room turnover. - Understands the role in maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only. - Provides health care services in own job category to all age groups. - Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups. - Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS. - Participates in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted. - Demonstrates confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules. - Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel while maintaining good phone etiquette.
