• Specialty: Emergency Medicine• Job Type: Locum Tenens• Facility Location: Berryville, AR• Service Setting: Outpatient• Reason For Coverage: Supplemental• Coverage Period: Aug 2, 2024 - Ongoing• Coverage Type: Clinical only• Shift Schedule: 7a-7p & 7p-7a• Patient Volume: 38 per 24 hrs• Patient Demographics: Peds & Adults• Support Staff: 3 RNs• 24-hr Support Services Available: - Anesthesia, General Surgery, Lab, OR Response Time and Radiology.• Required Procedures: - No surgery, usual ED procedures, intubation, chest tube, conscious sedation, laceration. - Central line placement, suturing, I&D, dental blocks, foreign body removal, reductions, cardio conversation, codes, Stroke and STEMI, peds & adults.• Duties: - ED physician responds to a code on med surg if one is called, which is not often. - Do not round anywhere other than on their ED patients in ED dept. - Will admit to hospital but via our Hospitalist. - Do not write admission orders but they do call the Hospitalist & the Hospitalist makes the decision whether to admit.• Beds in the Dept: 12• L&D Dept Available: Yes• EMR: Epic• Other Info: - Will see many of the same things as larger hospitals except less volumes. - ED physician is the only physician in the hospital often and always at night.• Newborn Deliveries Received in the ED: Yes• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
