LocumJobsOnline is working with Cynet Locums to find a qualified General Practice MD in Virginia!About The Position**Job Title:** Physician**Job Specialty:** Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine**Job Duration:** Ongoing**Shift:** Days, PRN**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Active and unrestricted full license**Certifications:** Board Certified**Must-Have:**- Own a laptop (No Mac/Apple products)- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular concerns**Job Description:**- Conduct General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations.- Perform exams primarily through interviews, complemented by some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.- Ensure no prescribing or treatment during exams.- Complete one-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments.- Efficiently use a goniometer for assessments.- Engage in quick credentialing onboarding.- Utilize provided training for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires.- Submit Reporting/DBQs within 48 hours of completing an exam; no narrative report required.- Complete evaluations in the secure provider portal.- Conduct regular follow-up administrative work, including addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings.- Participate in a required one-on-one PEP session/training via Zoom or Microsoft Teams before starting shifts.- Potentially travel to assist with cases in additional areas if willing and needed; expenses will be reimbursed per guidelines.**Additional Information:**The position involves supporting veterans by conducting essential medical evaluations. The role requires a high level of diligence and commitment to quality in providing healthcare assessments.
