About The PositionPediatric Hospitalist Opportunity
Join our team as a Pediatric Hospitalist in a supportive, rural setting with a flexible schedule and a meaningful work-life balance. This assignment offers the chance to make a lasting impact in a community-focused environment with a dedicated team!
Practice Setting
- Level 1 Nursery with inpatient and outpatient clinics and a low patient volume
- Collaborative environment with skilled nurses, APPs, OBs, general surgeons, and access to pediatric cardiology for echos/EKGs
- Predominantly newborn nursery care, with some pediatric inpatient and emergency cases
Schedule
- 24-hour call schedule
- Minimal weekend coverage with additional opportunities starting in January
- Remote call responsibilities with quick response times only when needed
Cases and Procedures
- Patient panel ranges from newborn through adolescence
- Perform essential pediatric procedures with support and resources readily available
- Manage newborns, routine pediatric admissions, and stabilize higher-acuity cases for transfer
Requirements
- Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- Active Ohio medical license (emergency privileges available for clean backgrounds)
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required
Travel and Lodging
- Travel and lodging accommodations are provided
- Less than one hour from an international airport
