Adelphi is seeking forensic psychologists to provide part-time forensic psychology services at a facility in El Paso, Texas. The ideal candidate will evaluate forensic patients for competency to stand trial and assess their risk of future violence.

Required: • PsyD or PhD in Psychology • Texas State Board of Examiners licensed Psychologist in good standing. • Fully trained and, at minimum, have three (3) years' relevant experience. • Maintain Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologist licensed Psychologist in good standing. • Maintain continuing education credits requirements for completing Forensic evaluations. • Maintain American Board of Professional Psychology Specialty Certification (ABPP) in forensic psychology.

Responsibilities: • Evaluate forensic patients on their Competency to Stand Trial and provide accurate written competency report for the court and Avatar CWS. • Evaluate forensic patients regarding risk for future violence and and readiness for transition to less restrictive settings. • Provide accurate written reports for all evaluations in Avatar CWS (Clinicians Work Station). • Identify risk and protective factors using the Clinical Method. • Use Unstructured or Structured Clinical Judgment to address violence, sex offender, and general recidivism risk assessment. • Apply preferred risk assessment tools tailored to each patient • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and licensing requirements. • Must wear approved uniforms and prominently display identification badges or their name and company name while providing services at facility.
