About The Position**Job Title:** Locum Tenens Physician**Job Specialty:** Urology**Job Duration:** 52 weeks**Shift:** 24-hour call coverage (7 AM - 7 AM)**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Active DEA and state medical license required**Certifications:** Board Certified/Eligible in Urology**Must-Have:** No history of malpractice**Job Description:**- Provide urology services in a hospital setting, covering calls.- Daily patient volume of approximately 8 patients.- Accept patients from the emergency department and transfer center.- Assume responsibility for any in-house patients requiring consultation from the previous shift and any new medical admissions.- No mid-level support staff.- Average of 8 hours spent on-site daily covering services.- Use the Meditech EHR system for documentation.- Ensure compliance with a Level 2 trauma requirement for 24/7 urology on-call coverage.- Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of the hospitalist program.- Coverage needed due to existing urology group's withdrawal of privileges.This position is open due to the need for call coverage within the hospital.
