Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Monday- Friday, 8 hour shifts, Bachelor's degree in Science, Current NYS license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT) or Histotechnologist (HTL). 1 years grossing experience preferred. Responsible for the accurate gross description, dissection and processing of all biopsies, routine and moderate complexity tissue specimens according to established protocols under the direct supervision of the Pathologist and/or Pathology Supervisor. Participates in limited technical activities of the Pathology department when needed, such as accessioning, staining, cover slipping, routine maintenance and cytology specimen preparation.
