About The PositionJob Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our dynamic laboratory team. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. As an MLT, you will work closely with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results, contributing to high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesSample Collection and Preparation: Collect and process biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) following established protocols to ensure sample integrity.Laboratory Testing: Perform a range of laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology, using advanced laboratory equipment and techniques.Result Analysis: Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies or abnormalities.Quality Control: Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain compliance with laboratory standards, safety regulations, and accreditation requirements.Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality control data in accordance with facility protocols.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective laboratory services.Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, performing routine checks and troubleshooting when necessary.QualificationsEducation: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.Certification: Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.Experience: Previous experience as an MLT in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required for new graduates.Technical Skills: Proficient in laboratory techniques and equipment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all laboratory processes9606349EXPTEMP
