Items must be in a clear plastic bag. Orientation has to be scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 8:30 AM until approximately noon.**Job Description:**- Prepare dialysate following established procedures and patient prescriptions.- Obtain and document pre-dialysis vital signs, including weight and temperature.- Inspect patient's dialysis access, initiate dialysis according to protocol, and make necessary adjustments.- Measure, calculate, and adjust blood flow rates based on protocols and prescriptions.- Administer anticoagulants as per protocols and prescriptions.- Change fluid removal rates and patient positions and administer Normal Saline as directed by RN or protocol.- Monitor vital signs and patient condition, documenting observations appropriately.- Document treatment parameters and communicate patient conditions and issues to the RN.- Monitor patients and equipment, respond to alarms, and adjust treatment parameters according to protocols and patient needs.- Respond appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies and initiate CPR when necessary.- Discontinue dialysis, establish hemostasis, and manage access cleaning and dressing following protocol.- Obtain and record post-dialysis vital signs, including weight and temperature.- Verify the absence of residual sterilants and prepare fluid samples for testing.- Discard dialysis supplies and sanitize equipment according to protocols.- Communicate patient concerns to RN when needed and reinforce treatment care with the patient.- Ensure adequate patient care supplies and monitor inventories.- Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments.- Maintain professional conduct, communication skills, and patient confidentiality.- Participate in multidisciplinary processes and review lab work and physician orders.- Perform basic clinical procedures and prepare dialysis equipment before treatment.- Test machine functions, including alarms, conductivity, and temperature; set monitors and alarms.- Complete flow sheets for patient billing verification.- Comply with agency policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.- Participate in quality assurance and cost containment programs.- Engage in individual and group projects as directed by management.- Perform other duties as assigned.
