Job Title: MRI Technologist Job Specialty: MRI Tech Job Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 10H Days, Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 18:30 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Not required Certifications: ARRT (M), BLS Must-Have: - 1 year of MRI experience - Experience with Siemens equipment; Philips experience preferred - Prefer travel experience and Level II trauma experience is a plus - Comfortable starting IVs Job Description: - Perform musculoskeletal imaging, basic neuro, abdominal/pelvis imaging, radiation oncology, breast imaging - Handle pacemaker and anesthesia patients as well as ICU and NICU patients - Average 30 scans/studies per day due to long protocols - Utilize PACS: McKesson or Change Healthcare; Charting system: MEDITECH - 6.1 - Department has a total of 4 scanners and a mobile unit; agency will staff 2 - Radiologists are in-house during the day; majority of MRI readers are remote - No floating to other areas required - Strict 75-mile radius requirement from the address on the traveler's driver's license - Generally, shifts start between 8 am and 12 pm - Opportunity to volunteer for weekends, typically handling outpatients without contrast - Scrub color: Black scrubs with a black or gray jacket; no fleece allowed; can wear a black or gray undershirt under scrubs - Unit-specific orientation provided for 1-2 weeks - Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
