About The Position**Job Title:** Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)**Job Specialty:** NICU**Job Duration:** 13-week contract**Shift:** Day - 4x12 - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 48 hours per week**Guaranteed Hours:** [Information Not Provided]**Experience:** At least 2 years of RN experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU and 2 years practicing as an NNP**License:** MSN-NNP certification through National Certification Corporation (NCC)**Certifications:** BLS, NRP**Must-Have:**- Experience with intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tube placement, and neonatal thoracentesis**Job Description:**- Conduct physical examinations and record pertinent data- Perform hospital rounds and document progress notes appropriately- Manage hospital admissions and discharges under the supervision of a physician- Interpret and evaluate patient data to determine management and treatment approaches- Oversee patients in the unit with the team lead during the day- Work independently overnight with the option to call the provider if needed- Provide support in the unit, working with other NPs- Use EMR systems appropriately (Cerner required)- Operate medical equipment such as Abbott Plum Pumps, Medfusion Syringe Pumps, SpaceLabs Monitors, and Omnicell Medication DispensingAdditional Information:- Floating between campuses with expected higher NICU volumes- New unit opening expected in June 2025- Orientation includes NEO + 2 shifts with a preceptor- Weekend rotation every other weekend, no on-call duty- Holiday work expectations are 1-2 per contract- Approval of time off by Chief Nursing Officer- 24-hour shifts averaging 2 shifts per week in a 6-week schedule cycle- Free on-site parking provided- Hospital scrubs will be provided[Note: Specific location names, rate information, and other confidential details have been omitted for privacy and compliance.]1594435EXPTEMP
