Travel Nurse - Cardiac Transplant Stepdown Rochester, New York, United States - 14642 Job Title: Travel Nurse - Cardiac Transplant Stepdown Number of openings: 4 Shift: Day or night shifts - 36 hours - Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 06/26/2023 Stipend: $1,281 Hourly Pay: $70 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $2,509 JOB DESCRIPTION 886 bed general acute care hospital. Level I trauma center Schedule: 12 hours, D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs (see contract for details). Exciting opportunities awaits RNs with an interest in Cardiology and innovative technology specific to the care of the cardiac patient. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for patient with advanced heart failure, heart transplants candidates and recipients, and LVAD therapy. Experience with pre and post op patients. High acuity environment with complex patient cases. QUALIFICATIONS Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Work Experience
- Two years of current RN Telemetry experience
- Two years of current Cardiac Transplant experience
- Experience with Swanz Catheters preferred
Certifications
- Current RN License in the state of practice.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certification in clinical specialty area
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
