Certification Details- Maintains CLIA Waived Lab standards and performs CLIA Waived Lab testing and proficiency validations according to regulatory standards.
- Includes tri annual AAFP Lab Proficiency testing, lab quality controls and lab credentialing if required by department.
Job Details- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Acute Care provides skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider in the Inpatient Specialty Care departments.

- Performs clinical assignments within scope of practice to maximize patient experience and ensure patient safety.
- Promotes and facilitates the compliance and understanding of Joint Commission, NYS DOH, Infection Control and all regulatory standards.

Schedule Information- SHIFT: 12E
- LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 12 weeks
Unit Specific Information- Patient care delivery system (EG, Primary Care, Team Nrg): Team model
- Any special procedure done on the unit? Triage area - responsible for nebulizers, EKG, point of care testing, PO meds, IM injections, IV starts and fluid maintenace, lab draws, foley catheter insertion
Additional Details- Willing to allow local CLNs for a lower BR
- START DATE: 8/12, 8/26, 9/9 (biweekly)
- This is not an overly common occurrence, but if needed Staff may be required to float within scope as well as between the WMC and BGH campuses when determined by UHS Leadership.
