Travel Nurse - PCU - three openings Dothan, Alabama, United States - 36301 Job Title: Travel PCU Nurse - three openings Shift: Evening or night shifts - 36 hours (weekends rotating) Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 06/05/2023 Stipend: $1,099 Hourly Pay: $54 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $1,963 JOB DESCRIPTION A 420-bed regional referral center, has achieved the reputation of providing the best diagnostic, clinical, surgical and patient care services available in the region. Uses the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care provided to individuals in Critical Care Services (e.g. NCCU, CVICU, CCU), Medical- Surgical Services
- Travel Pairs Allowed
- Alabama License or Compact
- EPIC preferred and acute Care experience required.
- 36- or 48-hour contracts
- Floating across MS units required.
- Ratio is 1:6.
- Work Week: Wednesday- Tuesday
- Covid Vaccine preferred.
- Start date as soon as possible 13 weeks
- 3 12-hour shifts 7p shift
- 90-mile radius rule
QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience
- Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience, however a BSN is preferred.
- Successful course completion in Advanced Cardiac Life Support or completion within 3 months of hire for Critical Care an Emergency Services
- Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Successful course completion of institutional Intermediate EKG Course
- Successful completion of stroke requirements
- Experience in operating personal computers, including operation of computer software in a Windows environment (preferred)
- Previous Travel experience preferred
- EMR two years of experience
License/Registration/Certification
- ACLS/BLS - American Heart Association
Education and Training
- Graduate of a Bachelors of Science in Nursing program required. Will consider Associates in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Must have interpersonal skills to communicate detailed clinical observations and evaluations with other members of the healthcare team.
- Analytical skills necessary to assess patient/family needs, prioritize care based on assessments and develop solutions to problems concerning patient's mental or physical well-being.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
