Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, collaborating with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality healthcare services. The RN assesses patient needs, plans, implements, and evaluates care in alignment with hospital and nursing policies, ensuring leadership in clinical practice and a commitment to professional growth.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Adhere to White Plains Hospital's Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.Provide respectful and culturally sensitive care that honors patient autonomy, dignity, and informed consent.Utilize the nursing process to meet the biophysical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and discharge needs of patients.Administer blood and blood products as per policy.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.Maintain infection control standards to minimize risk to patients and staff.Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid New York RN license/registration.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.Acute care experience preferred (one year).Core Competencies:
