Job Overview: As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients throughout their cath lab experience. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, setup, and operation of cardiac catheterization equipment and monitoring devices.
- Administer medications and IVs as required during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, making immediate assessments and interventions when necessary.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the cardiac catheterization procedure and recovery.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and sterile environment in the cath lab.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiac care.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of license.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Cath Lab RN 13 week assignment 40 hrs 10 hrs days, 7a-5:30p with call once a week, every 4th weekend, and ever other holiday AHA BLS & AHA ACLS required NY license 2 yrs of experience required Must be comfortable with balloon pumps and temporary pacemakers May float to sister facilites ASAP start
