Weekly Pay Range - $2440 To $2711 Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 3x11.5 hours, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, including every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience with 2 years in telemetry and cardiac cath lab License: NYS RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care through a professional practice model of relationship-centered care, using the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs while applying critical thinking skills in care management. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. - Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning post-hospital care, and delegating tasks as appropriate. - Educate patients and caregivers about care plans, transitions of care, health promotion, and disease prevention. - Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the patient care team. - Manage assignments within the modified primary nursing care delivery model, demonstrating effective resource allocation. - Implement quality and safety practices, identify potential safety hazards, and escalate issues following institutional protocols. - Use evidence-based practices to improve patient perceptions of care and initiate service recovery for concerns. - Mentor colleagues in using evidence-based practices and conduct purposeful hourly rounding. - Fulfill charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with leadership to ensure adequate supplies and staffing for patient care. - Document accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal standards of care. - Support professional development by contributing to an environment that encourages life-long learning and innovation. - Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, committees, and unit initiatives.
