Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: Flu Vaccine; Medical/Religious Exemptions Only Must-Have: - Proficiency in all open-heart cases, including valves and bypass procedures - Comfort with circulating all vascular cases, including hybrid cases - Familiarity with setups for all lines and drips needed for anesthesia support Job Description: - Participate in various open-heart surgical procedures and be adept in handling complex cases such as valves and bypasses. - Circulate and manage a variety of vascular cases ranging from carotids to Fem-Fem bypass and Triple A's. - Comfortable and skilled in hybrid surgical cases and rotating to other cases when not engaged in CVOR. - Collaborate with the anesthesia team in setting up necessary lines and drips for surgical procedures. - Participate in a rotating schedule that includes weekday night and weekend on-call duties. - Support general nurses during on-call periods and vice versa as team needs dictate. - Work every other weekend with holiday rotations as required. - Complete a 16-hour orientation program.
