Talent Healthcare Staffing Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/16/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Key Details Travel rate available for local travelers if starting on or before 12/16. Contracts available from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025. Work schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Float requirement: As needed to sister unit (ICCU). Scrubs: Navy, white, or a combination of the two. Required Skills and Certifications Minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience with arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, and telemetry. Proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Use of rapid response teams, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration. Central and peripheral line care/management, PICC line management. Experience with heparin protocols, CVA, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy management. Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and experience with IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Patient Diagnoses and Special Procedures ICU stepdown, post rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics. Withdrawal, GI bleeds, post-op surgeries (GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho). Pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin). Only one pressor drip per patient; more requires transfer to ICU.
